Presentazione:

BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER
SC Neuroradiologia
(italian version)

I graduated in Clinical Engineering (University of Trieste) and received my PhD in Biomedical Engineering (Polytechnic University of Turin), focusing on the application of machine learning methods to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). I completed training periods at leading centres of the neuroimaging field (Department of Cognitive Neuroscience, University of Maastricht; Department of Psychology, University of California, Los Angeles).

Research activity

Since 2011, I worked as a researcher in the Neuroradiology Unit. My main research activities include the application of advanced structural and functional MRI techniques, combined with machine learning techniques, for the identification of early diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers and for the understanding of anatomo-functional mechanisms in patients with disorders of consciousness, neurodegenerative diseases (spinocerebellar ataxias, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, dementia) and headaches (cluster headaches, migraine).

Topics of interest

  • Disorders of consciousness
  • Cephalgias
  • Neurodegenerative Diseases
