I work as a biotechnologist after my graduation in Medical Biotechnologies at the University of Milan.I started my research activity at the “Istituto Nazionale di Genetica Molecolare" where I worked on the molecular characterization of SHH signaling pathways through the use of cellular, molecular biology, imaging, and live imaging techniques.After this experience, I started working at the “Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta”.

 

Research activity

My focus of research is on neurodegenerative diseases characterized by an high genetic heterogenicity.

My research activity is focused on the analysis of genes associated with sensory and motor hereditary neuropathy through the use of Next-Generation Sequencing.

In the meanwhile, I'm also working on the functional validation of the potential pathogenetic variants through molecular and cellular biology techniques.
