I graduated in Psychology, have a post-graduate degree in Systemic-Relational Psychotherapy, and PhD in Psychology and Health and Statistical Sciences

 

Research activity

I work at Besta Institute since 2004, and my research focuses on: functioning and disability in neurological diseases of adults and children through ICF-based instruments; development of research protocols for disability and frailty determinants evaluation in ageing populations and in populations of persons with neurological conditions; preparation and implementation of research protocols, observational studies and clinical trials in collaboration with different divisions of Besta institute; preparation of research papers, data analysis and preparation of literature reviews; implementation of research activity in connection with the Global Burden of Disease initiative Italian network

I serve as ad hoc reviewer for more than 30 journal journals and am Editorial Board member of: BioMed Research International; The Scientific World Journal; International Journal of Rehabilitation Research; Journal of Headache and Pain; Frontiers in Rehabilitation Sciences. I am research project evaluator for AISM (Italian Association against MS), ARSEP (French Association against MS), CARIPLO Foundation and la Caixa Foundation.

I authored more than 200 publications on international, peer-reviewed journals. h-index: 34 (Scopus).
