I am a psychologist, Health Researcher at the Neuroepidemiology Unit, Scientific Directorate, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta, Milan, Italy. I hold a MSc in Clinical and Community Psychology (University of Padova), and an advanced postgraduate course in Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis for the production of Evidence Based Guidelines, using Cochrane methodology. 

 

Research activity

I was awarded a PhD in Psychological, Anthropological, and Educational Sciences at the University of Turin. 

I am the co-Chair of the Special Interest Group ‘Patient Autonomy’ within Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis Network; member of the International Society of Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL), member of the ‘Bioethics and Palliative Care’ Study Group of the Italian Society of Neurology (SIN), member of the Measuring Health related Quality of Life research group (University of Turin). 

My main area of research is the validation of questionnaires and outcome measures (mainly patient-reported outcome measures) for clinical, and quality of care studies in multiple sclerosis, using either traditional and innovative statistical approaches. Another area of interest is the conduction of systematic reviews of complex health interventions.

I am the author of several papers in international peer-reviewed journals, and referee for several neurological and psychological international journals.
