I am a biotechnologist with a PhD in Experimental Medicine and Endocrinology. Currently I’m attending tha Specialization School in clinical Pathology and clinical Biochemistry.

 

Research activity

From 2009 to 2014 I focused my research activity on the fields of molecular pathology and molecular oncology with particular reference to the pathogenesis of neuroblastoma.

I have gained great expertise in functional and molecular analysis mitochondria involvement in cancer. From 2014 I started my activity at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico C. Besta in the Unit of Molecular Neuro-Oncology under the supervision of S. Pellegatta. I am involved in the molecular characterization of malignant gliomas and of glioma stem like cells to identify new invasion biomarkers for personalized therapies to immunomodulate tumor microenvironment; I am also involved in the development of new immunotherapy strategies in mouse model. I have an excellent experience in cell and molecular biology and in animal models for preclinical research.

Furthermore I have gained a considerable expertise in morphological and histological studies on mouse and human samples.
